Inter-Livery Clay Pigeon Shoot

Another good year with the weather holding out for us, yet again.

A total of 94 teams representing 54 different Livery companies and some 20 guests including reigning Masters and Clerks attended, making this we believe to be largest Livery event in the City.

A total of £4,700.00 was surplus on the final accounts, which will be donated to many charities including the usual £1,000 for this years Lord Mayor's charity.

The Master was in attendance and the prizes were awarded as follows:

  • Alan Ritson Cup top livery team - Gunmakers C - 338 - £750 .00

  • Gunmakers prize top livery gun – A Price - 74 - Saddlers - £500.00

  • Horners prize Masters &Court team - Gunmakers D – 284 - £250.00

  • Lightmongers top gun ladies - S Deacon - 55   Farriers A - £125.00

  • Team Livery side by side - Gunmakers A - £125.00

  • Team Livery highest flush  - Gunmakers F  - 78 - £125.00

  • Top Individual Livery s/s - Jason Abbot - 69 - £125.00

  • 17th livery team - Solicitors - 269 - £125.00

  • 27th livery team - Distillers - 247 -£125.00

  • 37th livery team - Clothworkers Court team -233 -£125.

  • 47th livery team - Poulters Court team - 206

  • 57th livery team - Tallow Chandlers B – 165

We entered two teams but they appear not to have been amongst the prizes but they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

The Company is extremely grateful to Court Assistant Chris Parr for organising this event, able assisted by his wife Liveryman Sandra Parr.

The event will be held at the same venue next year.

Inter-Livery Master's Walk

The following are a few pictures from this year's Inter-Livery Master's Walk, which helped raise money for a number of charities. Despite all the smiling faces there were quite a few sore feet - these charity champions walked some 8.5 miles in full Livery regalia!

Lord Mayor's Show 2007

This year's Lord Mayor's Show set a new record - the procession was 3 miles long while the route was 2.7miles! The Show started and finished with no discernible hiccups with both participants and spectators having a very enjoyable day:

Inter-Livery Pancake Race 2008

We are delighted to report that this year's team of 'pancake racers' entered in to the competitive spirit of the event and raised the Company's overall performance from an historic fourth to second in most of its heats. However, being second is not enough to qualify for the finals - maybe next year, if we undertake some training! Apparently, our Clerk, Michael Bizley, undertook his own competition to eat less pancakes than the last time, which he did! Four rather six.

Clean City Awards - Sweeper of the Year 2007

The following are some pictures from the Corporation of London's annual Clean City Awards, which the Company actively supports in general and particularly the Sweeper of the Year. The winner this year was Pat Brazil and the runner up was Alan Beackon.
